Sic-Bo
Sic-Bo, which literally means "dice pair", is an ancient Chinese gambling game. This name is slightly peculiar since Sic-Bo is actually played using three standard 6-sided casino dice.
But Sic-Bo may have originally used a pair of dice shaken between a plate and an overturned bowl. This is why Sic-Bo is also called "Dice-in-a-bowl" at some casinos.
With the option of being able to place more than one bet at a time, playing Sic-Bo is easy to learn yet exciting, engaging and fun!
Sic-Bo is similar to the popular English game known as Grand Hazard; and in regards to the way bets are placed and odds given, it is similar to the game known as Big Six. It also shares similarities with roulette since there are many places on the table to place bets.
Sic-Bo is played in Asia, Nevada and Australia. It is also popular in the Philippines, where it is called 'Hi-Lo.'
Despite Sic-Bo's ancient heritage, it has only recently enjoyed an upsurge in popularity, possibly in part to its appearance in a number of Hollywood films.
Sic-Bo is still one of the lesser known casino games and it is often confined to rooms designated for Asian games. However, playing Sic-Bo can more rewarding than other more popular casino games.
